On June 2, 2023, healthcare company PH TECH discovered that a security flaw within Progress MOVEit’s file transfer software application allowed attackers access to personal information stored on a PH TECH server. PH TECH discovered the attack and took immediate action to take systems offline to prevent further intrusion. PH TECH finished its investigation on July 27, 2023, and determined that its employees’ personal information may have been compromised, including:
- First and last name
- Email address
- Date of birth
- Social Security Number
- Demographic information (address)
- Member and plan ID number
- Authorization information
- Member and plan ID number
- Claim and billing information
PH TECH notified the current and former customers whose personal information was compromised on July 27, 2023. If you’ve received notice from PH TECH that your personal information was compromised, consider doing certain things to protect your personal information:
- Change your passwords and security information for online accounts;
- Review your account statements for unauthorized activity;
- Monitor your credit reports for signs of identity theft;
- Contact the credit bureaus to request a temporary fraud alert;
- Carefully review the notice you received from PH TECH
- Keep a copy of the notice for your records; and
- Enroll in the identity theft monitoring services offered in the notice from PH TECH.
