Tesla Sued for Racial Harassment at Nevada Gigafactory

Home » News » Tesla Sued for Racial Harassment at Nevada Gigafactory

MSE attorneys Sara Faulman and Patrick Miller-Bartley recently filed a lawsuit on behalf of a worker at Tesla’s Gigafactory, located in Nevada. The plaintiff, Kamern Cowan, has faced constant racial harassment while working for Tesla.

Mr. Cowan alleges that coworkers and supervisors referred to his work area as the “slave house,” regularly used the “N-word” and other racial slurs, and talked about the need to “whip” employees back into their “corrals.” Despite reporting this behavior to Human Resources, Tesla failed to take any meaningful actions to stop the abuse or protect Mr. Cowan and other Black colleagues, and instead allowed the harassment to continue, resulting in emotional distress and lost wages and opportunities.

The case was filed in the U.S. District Court for Nevada, Case No. 26:cv-00266.
