On or around January 22, 2023, Carter Mario Law Firm (“Carter Mario”) became aware of certain unauthorized activity within its computer systems and began investigating.

On June 30, 2023, Entertainment Partners detected suspicious activity within a limited area of their computer network that supports a subset of their accounting applications.

On or around May 1, 2023, Johnson & Company, CPAs was alerted by their tax software provider, Intuit, that fraudulent 2022 tax returns had been filed on behalf of certain Johnson & Company, CPAs’ clients who previously filed tax returns with Johnson & Company, CPAs for 2021 and began investigating.

On June 2, 2023, healthcare company PH TECH discovered that a security flaw within Progress MOVEit’s file transfer software application allowed attackers access to personal information stored on a PH TECH server.

On May 31, 2023, Progress Software discovered a problem affecting its MOVEit® Transfer application. IBM, a third-party vendor contracted with the Colorado Department of Health Care Policy & Financing (HCPF), uses the MOVEit application to move HCPF data files in the normal course of business.

On or around May 14, 2023, Quinn Emanuel Urquhart & Sullivan, LLP discovered that a third-party electronic discovery vendor it utilized had suffered a cybersecurity incident and began investigating. Quinn Emanuel Urquhart & Sullivan, LLP finished its investigation on July 20, 2023, and determined that personal information contained in the documents maintained by that vendor may have been compromised.
