On November 2, 2023, Fidelity Investments Life Insurance & Empire Fidelity Investments Life Insurance ("Fidelity") discovered that its network had been subject to to unauthorized activity and began investigating.

On November 2, 2023, Fidelity Investments Life Insurance & Empire Fidelity Investments Life Insurance (“Fidelity”) discovered that its network had been subject to to unauthorized activity and began investigating. Fidelity finished its investigation and determined that its employees and/or consumers’ personal information may have been compromised, including:

  • Name
  • Financial Account Number
  • Credit/debit card number with security code/PIN

Fidelity notified the current and former employees and/or consumers whose personal information was compromised on March 1, 2024. If you’ve received notice from Fidelity that your personal information was compromised, consider doing certain things to protect your personal information:

  • Change your passwords and security information for online accounts;
  • Review your account statements for unauthorized activity;
  • Monitor your credit reports for signs of identity theft;
  • Contact the credit bureaus to request a temporary fraud alert;
  • Carefully review the notice you received from Fidelity;
  • Keep a copy of the notice for your records; and
  • Enroll in the identity theft and credit monitoring services offered in the notice from Fidelity.
